Ring of Fire Chili Challenge takes over Riverside Park Oct. 28

VERO BEACH – The new “Ring of Fire Chili Challenge” will take place Saturday Oct. 28 from 4-9 p.m. at the Riverside Park “West” in Vero Beach.

Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach talked it over with the Fire Department and got their blessing to continue what they started.

There will be over 20 chili entries to taste from businesses like Billero Billero, Walking Tree, Sailfish, Dyer Auto Group, Terminx;  Civic/nonprofits like Kiwanis, Young Democrats, Republicans, Chili Gals Relay for Life; Government agencies including Indian River Shores Public Safety, and one of the firehouses; Restaurants and  independents round out the categories.

Sunrise Rotary will provide hamburgers, hotdogs and desserts for sale as well as drinks.

The Jacks Band and Bobby Owens Band will be the evening’s entertainment. It is free to attend. Tasting cups are $1 each.

All monies raised benefit the Sunrise Rotary Vero Beach Foundation and the 50 plus local charities it supports.
