The victim, a cook at the Isles of Vero, was covered in blood and had a bloody rag above his left eye when he approached deputies about noon Saturday at the 6800 block of State Road 60. The victim had two deep cuts on his face, one above the left eye and the other one on the side of the eye.

The victim told deputies he got into an argument about with Reid, who had wanted him to do something else after breakfast had been completed.  When the victim refused, he said Reid stabbed him with a kitchen knife and then chased him out of the kitchen saying he was going to kill him.

The victim was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce.  A nurse told deputies that the victim, who is in stable condition, had three cuts. One of the cuts was so deep that it chipped the victim’s skull.

Deputies spoke with witnesses who were in the kitchen at the time of the stabbing. Their stories matched the victim’s description of events.

Reid was taken to the county jail for booking.
