In Memoriam: Sept. 16

Alice Dorothy Bodnar, 67, Vero Beach

Alice Dorothy Bodnar, 67, of Vero Beach and of Frederick, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on Dec. 7, 1949, in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Charles I. and Alice Dorothy Magalinsky Hampson.
Alice proudly served her country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. She worked for many years in the health care industry as an LPN and a surgical assistant.

After nursing and raising her family, she worked at the Weis Market at Spring Ridge in Frederick. She had a great love for her entire family and enjoyed spending time with them all.
Surviving are her children, Stacie M. Lemick and husband Ronald, of New Market and Michael C. Bodnar and wife Pia, of Edgewood, MD, siblings, John Hampson, Joseph Hampson, Charles Hampson, Marianne Moss and David Hampson, and her loving grandchildren, Travis, Julia, Anna, Vincent and Victoria, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by her former husband and good friend, Michael F. Bodnar, of Vero Beach.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Deacon Douglas Nathan, will officiate. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Cancer Patient Assistance Fund, C/O Frederick Memorial Hospital, 400 West Seventh Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
