54 new homes on offer at upscale Oaks of Vero

Fifty-four new homes, priced $225,000 to $300,000, are coming to the Oaks of Vero, an upscale gated community near 12th Street and 58th Avenue. The builder is Adams Homes, Inc. – one of the largest privately held home builders in the south.

Sales Associate Maribel Maldonado says the company has completed construction on four of the 54 homesites, with one homeowner already in residence. Another home is under construction and 13 are under contract. Maldonado says a “handful” of building permits are expected to be issued within the next few days.

The homes are set back on either side of Scarlet Oak Circle, which winds around a central lake and curves into a cul-de-sac “peninsula,” featuring the elegant, larger models. There are a dozen floor plans to choose from, ranging from 1,900 to 3,000 square feet, on lots averaging .28 acre. The builder requires only $1,000 down payment on a purchase contract.

The project’s well-attended grand opening took place in September at 1354 Scarlet Oak Circle, Adams’ 2,265-square-foot, 4-bedroom, 3-bath Lakeside model home. This roomy model features an open plan, with a flow that encompasses the foyer, spacious family room, dining room, nook, kitchen, and lanai, and enhanced with 10-foot ceilings and plant shelves, together affording great entertaining opportunities.

Left from the foyer is the master suite, featuring his/hers walk-in closets and access to the lanai via a double-glass-pane, Venetian blind door. Pale walls and double windows give this private space a light, airy ambiance. The master bath features split sinks, glass-door shower, large tub and water closet.

Also on this side is a corner living room, which could easily be re-purposed as an office, den or library.

Three bedrooms, each with ample closet space, occupy the home’s east side. A cabana bath, with access from the hallway and the lanai, and a third bath, serve this side of the house.

Standard appliances include dishwasher, disposal, microwave, range and smoke detector. Additional features, as seen in the model, include laundry room, pantry, kitchen bar and granite countertops, covered lanai, carpet and tile flooring, and irrigation system. This home plan also offers an attached, 3-car garage.

The Oaks of Vero was launched in 2005 by Mercedes Homes, which closed its building division in 2012. At buildout the community will have about 200 residences. To the north, the development abuts a stretch of high-end, oak-shaded residences along 16th Street referred to as “Doctors’ Row,” one of Vero’s most desirable neighborhoods. Another upscale community, Old Sugar Mill, lies to the east.

Although the Oaks of Vero is a quiet, private community, it is also conveniently located just south of SR-60, between Interstate 95 and U.S. 1, only a short drive from the 58th Avenue/State Road 60 shopping hub and the Indian River Mall complex, with the Vero Outlet Mall only a few minutes farther west, and the shops, galleries and restaurants of Vero’s downtown, only a few minutes east. Major employers such as Piper Aircraft and Indian River Medical Center are all nearby, as are golf, dining, shopping, schools and, of course, the beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches.

Adams Homes has been building in Indian River County since 2001. For more information about the company or community, contact. Maribel Maldonado, 321-693-7398 or 772-257-5383.
