Supervisor of Elections to host poll watcher orientation Oct. 4

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Supervisor of Elections staff will host a Poll Watcher Orientation on Oct. 4, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 4375 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach.

Each political party and each candidate may have one poll watcher at any one time in each polling room or early voting area during the upcoming General Election. A political committee formed for the specific purpose of expressly advocating the passage or defeat of an issue on the ballot may also have one poll watcher at any one time during the election.

Each political party, political committee and each candidate requesting to have poll watchers must submit a poll watcher request form to the Supervisor of Elections. The deadline to submit an application to serve as an early voting poll watcher is 12 p.m., Oct. 10, and the deadline to submit paperwork to serve as an Election Day poll watcher is 12 p.m., Oct. 25.
