Free Block Party and Barbecue this Saturday

SEBASTIAN — The Block Party Barbecue will take place September 17 from 3:00 p.m. – 6 at Riverview Park located on US 1 and CR 512 in Sebastian.

Coastal Community Church will begin cooking delicious smoked pulled pork a full day before the event. For those with an active sweet tooth snow cones and cotton candy will be available. Kids of all ages will enjoy a series of carnival style games and the event MC will be giving away prizes from local businesses and hosting a dance contest. The Sebastian River Art Club will be on site with a face painting booth. Finally, County Commissioner elect Susan Adams, Sebastian Police School Resource Officer Ashley Penn and Sebastian Mayor Bob McPartlan have confirmed their fate in the dunk tank.

This event is free. No donation buckets. Seriously. Just free.

“Even folks who are not ‘church people’ love attending these events and hanging out with our people,” said Seth Goldsmith, Lead Pastor. “They are often surprised that a church could pull off such fun events! And that is exactly why we are here. No matter who you are or what you believe, we want to be a church that loves and gives back to our community.”

Coastal Community Church worships at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays in the auditorium of Sebastian River Middle School. The church also streams services live online at Live.SebastianChurch.com. Nursery, Children, Youth, Women’s and Men’s activities are available. For more information, please call (772) 202-0121 or visit www.SebastianChurch.com.
