Youth Guidance program seeks volunteer van driver

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The John’s Island Foundation has generously donated a 12 passenger van to the Youth Guidance program, and the group is ready to put the van to use in its new south county program, by picking children up at Citrus Elementary School and Indian River Academy and bringing them to the new Intergenerational Center (located on Oslo road) for group mentoring programs.

Youth Guidance is looking for a volunteer driver to make these trips on Tuesday and Thursday each week, between 3 and 4 p.m. The transportation will allow the organization to serve more children, and help families with transportation challenges that stand in the way of enrolling their children in mentoring programs.

Those interested can contact Doug Borrie at (772) 770-5040.
