Marine Bank officers reward employees’ United Way efforts

VERO BEACH — In what has become an annual tradition, officers of Marine Bank & Trust doffed their suits and donned shorts and flip flops, switched off their computers and turned on the hoses.

President and CEO Bill Penney, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer Brian Fowler, Controller Jessica Dodson, and Operations Processor Kevin Barker put the suds to the sedans and washed employees’ vehicles to show the Bank’s appreciation for their associates’ notable generosity during the recent United Way campaign.

With 100 percent of Marine Bank employees voluntarily participating in payroll deduction, the Bank’s donation to the United Way of Indian River County increased 25 percent year-over-year to exceed $9,700.

“I am so proud of our team,” said Bill Penney, President and CEO of Marine Bank & Trust. “We are truly a community bank and our people illustrate that on a daily basis. Whether we’re helping a family purchase a home, a business to grow, or a non-profit to meet the unmet needs of our community, our people are there. I consider it an honor to have this chance to express my appreciation in this way.”
