True Value Foundation awards Master’s Academy a grant for paint

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Master’s Academy of Vero Beach was awarded a grant from the True Value Foundation for paint. The True Value Foundation’s Board of Directors reviewed “Painting a Brighter Future” grant submissions from across the country and Master’s Academy was selected to receive 40 gallons of paint for campus improvements.

Vero Beach Hardware, located at 3555 9th Avenue SW (Oslo Road), is the True Value retailer that sponsored the grant application and will be providing the paint to Master’s Academy.

“We here at Vero Beach Hardware are honored that True Value’s Board of Directors has awarded this Painting a Brighter Future paint grant to Master’s Academy and is allowing us to work with them to supply their painting and material needs for this project. This donation will not only save Master’s Academy money but, more importantly, will help create an environment that fosters learning, inspires creativity and instills community pride,” said store manager Wayne Burkett.

Photos were submitted with the grant application to demonstrate need and the school will submit “after” photos once the painting project is complete. The new paint will help preserve the longevity of the school’s buildings and improve the aesthetics of the campus.

The school has scheduled a family and friends of Master’s Academy work day for Aug. 27. Volunteers will come together to paint the school buildings and clean up the campus grounds before school starts on Aug. 29. A picnic lunch will be provided by the Master’s Academy Parent Teacher Fellowship.

Those interested in volunteering can contact the school office at (772) 794-4655 or email n.cook@mastersvb.org.
