McKee Botanical Garden offers free admission to moms on Mother’s Day

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — McKee Botanical Garden will offer free admission to all mothers with any paid admission to the Garden in celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 8.

Make this Mother’s Day memorable by treating mom or grandma to a special day surrounded by the beauty and serenity of McKee Botanical Garden.

“Spending the time together with your mom or as a family is what really counts,” said McKee Executive Director Christine Hobart. The Garden is a perfect place to make memories and begin new traditions.

The Garden has more than 10,000 native and tropical plants, historic structures, and one of the largest collections of waterlilies in the state of Florida.

Osceola Bistro at the Garden Cafe will be open from 12 to 2:30 p.m. serving lunch. A children’s menu is also available.

McKee’s summer admission rates of $10 adults, $9 seniors and $5 children ages 3 to 12 apply. Admission is free for members and children under 3. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m. The Garden is closed on Mondays.

McKee Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all. McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US 1 in Vero Beach.
