McKee celebrates National Public Gardens Day with two for one admission May 6

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — McKee Botanical Garden will offer one free admission to the Garden with any paid admission (with coupon) in celebration of “National Public Gardens Day” on Friday, May 6.

Presented by the American Public Gardens Association (APGA), National Public Gardens Day is an annual celebration to raise awareness about the important role botanical gardens and arboreta play in promoting environmental stewardship, plant and water conservation, green spaces, and education in communities nationwide.

“We are pleased to participate in National Public Gardens Day, which recognizes the significance of public gardens and what they contribute to their communities,” said Christine Hobart, executive director of McKee Botanical Garden. “It’s a day for residents to come and learn more about McKee – from its unique plant collections and horticultural beauty to educational programs and conservation efforts. The Garden is a resource for all to enjoy.”
