VERO BEACH — The PEER Group invites mothers and grandmothers to its fourth annual Tea: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s High Tea.” The Tea will be held on May 1 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Vero Beach Country Club, 800 30th Street, Vero Beach.
This is an exciting event featuring international teas and wonderful sandwiches and sweets, an art exhibit by the Indian River Charter High School, music, and the highlight of the event, a Fashion Show sponsored by Elizabeth’s Fine Consignments.
The fashion show features models who are the daughters of PEER Group members. A special guest, Katie Henderson, will model items she has designed and she and her mom, Ruth, will speak and share their experiences.
Katie was born with Down syndrome and has become a famous artist and designer. There will be a silent and live auction. The PEER Group is an educational, advocacy and support organization benefiting families with children and adults who have disabilities.
