Lunafest Film Festival to benefit local organizations April 2

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Center for Spiritual Care, Friends After Diagnosis and the Treasure Coast Ovarian Cancer Alliance are hosting a special fundraising event at the Indian River State College Richardson Center in Vero Beach.

Lunafest, a traveling film festival of award-winning short films by, for, and about women, will be held on on Saturday, April 2.

Prior to the films, the Honorable Judge Cynthia Cox of the 19th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida will be presenting “Ending Domestic Violence: A Community Effort.”

The program runs from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and everyone is welcome. This will be a touching and inspirational afternoon, and the proceeds will help the non-profit hosts provide programming, outreach and programs and services to the local community.

Tickets are $25 locally or available at www.lunafest.org/verobeach (with an additional $2.09 service charge).

The Richardson Center is located at 6115 College Lane, Vero Beach.
