Musical tribute to Manhattan opens at dinner theatre March 6

VERO BEACH — Eleanor Dixon, Beth McKenzie-Shestak, Shamara Turner and Caitlin Harris will put audience members in a “New York State of Mind” when Theatre-Go-Round Dinner Theatre at the Quilted Giraffe opens its newest offering “Take Me Back to Manhattan” on Sunday, March 6. The restaurant is located at 500 South US 1 in Vero Beach.

The harmonizing quartet of professional female vocalists will take show-goers on a whirlwind trip around the island of Manhattan featuring 25 of the greatest hits about the city that never sleeps. Just a few of the memorable numbers include “The Boy from New York City,” “Spanish Harlem,” “42nd Street,” “Slumming on Park Avenue,” “City Lights,” and the ever popular “Lullaby of Broadway.” This high energy, fast-paced blockbuster is recommended for the entire family.

Performances are on Sundays and will continue on March 13, 20, April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1, 15 and 22. Doors open for dinner at 4:30 p.m. with the show at 6 p.m. Dinner theatre packages are $55 per person and include a three course gourmet meal prepared by Chef Kurt Runge, show ticket, tax and gratuity. The menu includes salad, bread and butter, and choice of carved tenderloin of beef or the fresh seafood of the day, two sides, dessert and choice of coffee or iced tea.
