Indian River State College Performing Arts presents Peter Pan starting Feb. 11

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Join the Indian River State College Performing and Visual Arts Department for a journey through Broadway’s classic musical fantasy that whisks audiences into a dream where no one ever grows up in “Peter Pan” starting Thursday Feb. 11.

Performance are held at 2 and 7 p.m. in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center on the IRSC Main Campus in Fort Pierce.

“Peter Pan” the musical, with lyrics by Carolyn Leigh and music by Morris “Moose” Charlap, is based on the play by Sir James M. Barrie.

The audience will be immersed in a magical world where Peter and the mischievous Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children, and with a sprinkle of pixie dust, Peter flies the children across the stars on a magical musical journey to meet the loveable band of lost boys, a motley crew of bungling pirates, and of course, the villainous Captain Hook.

Dates and times for “Peter Pan” are Feb. 11, 12, 13, 19 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 13, 14, 20 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at www.irsc.edu or at the box office located in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center lobby on the IRSC Main Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by phone with VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.
