Day Trippin’ with Patti and Vicky plans 2 holiday trips

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Day Trippin’ with Patti & Vicky LLC will be hosting two holiday trips.

Day Trippers will head to the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando on Dec. 16 to see two million pounds of ice transformed into the North Pole featuring an arctic forest, a Christmas carnival with a life-size carousel, Santa’s ornament room and even his reindeer. There is also a life-sized Nativity made completely of clear ice.

Frozen within these unique sculptures are twinkling lights that create an ever-changing luminescence. The 18,000 square foot ice exhibit is kept at 9-degrees Fahrenheit. Each guest will be provided a calf-length parka.

Admission to ICE will also include the special holiday show, “Cirque Dreams Unwrapped.” Cost is $100 per person and includes transportation, snacks and admission to ICE and show.

Day Trippin’ will begin the New Year with a trip to St. Augustine for Nights of Lights, Wine and Chocolate on Friday, Jan. 15. The day will begin with a tour and tasting at Whetstone Chocolate Factory and the San Sebastian Winery.

Day trippers will spend the afternoon in the historic district followed with an evening ride on the Red Train Trolley to see two million tiny white lights illuminate St. Augustine.

Cost is $100 per person and includes bus transportation with snacks on board, tours and tastings at the chocolate factory and winery and the Nights of Lights trolley tour. Lunch will be up to each participant in the historic district. There will be bus stops in Vero Beach and Sebastian.
