VNA ‘CARS’ program supports local hospice care

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The VNA is happy to announce a new method of raising funds to support VNA Hospice care in Indian River County. CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) is a 501(c)(3) nationally known non-profit that has been accepting donated vehicles and turning them into cash for non-profit organizations for more than 11 years.

Teaming with VNA’s Hidden Treasures hospice thrift stores, the CARS donation program will retrieve vehicles, complete proper title processing and return a majority of the profit from the vehicle back to the VNA. By utilizing the CARS program, the VNA hopes to create a positive and hassle-free experience for automobile donors.

“We are very excited to see this program launch. We have been asked on several occasions if we accept cars, trucks, boats, etc. The CARS program will give some peace of mind to family members experiencing the loss of a loved one, by alleviating the responsibility of selling their loved one’s vehicle,” said Hidden Treasures District Resale Manager, Theresa Ooley. In addition to vehicles, Hidden Treasures is happy to accept donations of ATVs, motorcycles, scooters and boats. All vehicle donations are tax deductible.
