Christ Church Vero Beach plans to build

VERO BEACH — In January of 2014, Christ Church Vero Beach purchased the old Osceola School property at the corner of 6th Avenue and Route 60. Christ Church is now pleased to announce its plans to build a beautiful new church.

On July 28, the leadership of Christ Church voted unanimously to move forward with actual construction. It is expected to be complete early in 2017.

Christ Church is currently meeting in temporary facilities at 925 14th Lane, behind the Outback Steakhouse.

The new church facilities will encompass approximately 27,000 square feet with three distinct areas, a 350 seat sanctuary, a youth/outreach wing, and an administration and education wing. All three areas are designed to facilitate expansion in the future. The church will be located on the northeast corner of the 14-plus acre parcel of land.

Bishop John Miller, Pastor of Christ Church, said, “I am very excited to see Christ Church take this huge step forward. The new facility will provide Christ Church with a permanent home from which to stage our ministry to continually enrich the lives of our members, while fostering our outwardly focused, missional activities for our community, state, and the world.”

Christ Church has raised the funds internally for the construction and is dedicated to the building program in a debt-free fashion. Ground breaking is planned for spring of 2016 (after all plans are approved).
