‘Our Veterans’ Voice’ announces new tribute to local veterans

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Our Veterans’ Voice, an hour long radio show exclusively dedicated to Military talk and hosted by Ralph Nathan Oko, airs Sundays at 4:30 p.m. on WAXE 107.9fm and 1370 AM. The show is also heard nationwide on IHeartRadio.com and is rebroadcast on Saturday nights on Real Radio 101.7 at 10 p.m.

In addition to discussing issues of interest to veterans, the show features historical insight into the challenges and bravery of the men and women who serve. As a tribute, the show recently allocated a few minutes each week to read the names of local veterans who have passed away.

“There is a connection between veterans; the bond is strong. It was brought to our attention that this gesture would be an appreciated eulogy,” said Oko, the show’s host. Mr. Oko will read the names and the veteran’s branch of service and rank. “It’s about recognition of our heroes.”

Dr. Tim Ionnides, M.D. of Treasure Coast Dermatology is a flagship sponsor of the show. Through interviews with American’s bravest, Our Veterans’ Voice endeavors to inspire people of all ages to appreciate the value and price of patriotism. Tom Lowther, of Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory has sponsored the TAPS memorial weekly.
