Oil painter Patricia Padoll chosen as Main Street Vero’s guest artist

VERO BEACH — Patricia Padoll paints beautiful landscapes and seascapes in oils. The Florida coastlines supply an abundance of inspiration for an artist who strives to bring a sense of tranquility and beauty to each of her paintings. Her work is rich in color and light, focusing on the pristine beauty of skies, water, and wildlife. Her passion for fine art is driven by her vision of nature, and the joy of creating each new work of art.

Born in Baltimore, Md., Padoll has a B.S. in Business Administration. She worked in Administration, Marketing, and Management for the IBM Corporation, and owns a computer consulting business, Padoll Consulting Services, with her husband, George.

While providing business assistance to a gallery owner in 2001, she was encouraged to develop her artistic talents. She began painting watercolors for a few years, and then decided to change to oil medium.

Padoll spent the next several years studying drawing and painting, through classes and workshops, at the Vero Beach Museum School of Art. She continued to expand her skills learning from local contemporary artists: Rick Kelly of Vero Beach, and Linda Relis of Port St. Lucie. In addition, she studied with Pat Aube Gray and Coleen Sterling of Blairsville, Ga.

She hosted her own art show in March of 2013, in Fort Pierce, which showcased both her landscape and seascape paintings, and her mountain and rural farm paintings of North Georgia and North Carolina. She is currently exhibiting at Arts for ACT in Fort Myers, and The Art Center in Blue Ridge, Ga.

Her art may be viewed at www.padollart.com, and her email is padollart@gmail.com
