Vero Beach Police arrest five in connection with prostitution

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Police Department has arrested five people after an officer went undercover as a prostitute, according to an official release.

Police received several calls regarding possible prostitution activity in the area of 12th Avenue and 24th Street, according to authorities. Based on these complaints, the Special Investigations Unit conducted surveillance in the area and were able to verify the complaints. Police then set up an undercover operation in order to combat this illegal activity on Oct. 3,14, and 17.

Teddie Webb, 84, David Moshier, 50, Adalberto Zuniga, 52, Jack Sanin, 56, all of Vero Beach, and William Perez, 20, of Lake Worth, face a charge of Solicitation of Prostitution. Moshier also faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
