Vero Beach Art Club hosts exhibition and sale to benefit local schools

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Art Club has again partnered with Springhill Suites by Marriott to bring together the arts and the community to benefit local middle school students.

On Oct. 16, from 5-9 p.m. at Springhill’s Vero Beach location the Vero Beach Art Club will be organizing Art-tini, an art exhibition and sale to benefit Storm Grove, Gifford and Sebastian River middle schools to buy art supplies.

“Every Springhill Suites by Marriott hotel across the country will be doing an annual art night,” said Amy Behm Selby, Director of Sales. “Springhill is a hotel that inspires design and understands that it is important for children to study art in school. It helps in their creativity and positive development.”

Last year was the first art night held with the Vero Beach Art Club members organizing the event under the direction of the Chair, Sue Dinenno. Members of the club provided their work for an art exhibit, volunteered to help at the event and sold their work for the charity.

The display also included the paintings and drawings by many of the young budding artists from local schools. Prizes and ribbons were given out as guests enjoyed cocktails and light hors d’oeurves and the winning piece of the night was used as artwork on the “Key Entry” cards for the hotel.

Please be sure to RSVP to the hotel by October 13. The event will be held at Springhill Suites by Marriott, 5115 Indian River Boulevard, Vero Beach, FL 32967, on Oct. 16, from 5-9 p.m. RSVP to the hotel at (772) 978-9292 by Oct. 13. The event, parking and admission are free.
