Disney’s The Aristocats Kids at Performing Arts Center Friday-Sunday

VERO BEACH — What’s a cat to do? In Disney’s The Aristocats Kids, Madame’s jealous butler Edgar cat-naps Duchess and her Aristokittens and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. Luckily, Thomas O’Malley and his rag-tag bunch of alley cats come to their rescue! The show, based on the Disney film, features plenty of exuberant group numbers.

This feline adventure is sure to get audiences tapping their feet to its upbeat, jazzy beat with a score that includes the Disney favorites “The Aristocats,” “Scales and Arpeggios” and “Ev’rybody Wants to Be a Cat.”

With music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman and Al Rinker and Floyd Huddleston, the music was adapted and arranged and additional music and lyrics by Bryan Louiselle, and the book was adapted and additional lyrics written by Michael Bernard, The Aristocats is presented through arrangement with Music Theatre International.

“The Aristocats” performances are on Friday, June 27, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 28 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 2 p.m. at the VBHS Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street in Vero Beach.
