Visit the HabiTree at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore

FELLSMERE — Fellsmere Elementary School first graders made special angel ornaments for the Indian River Habitat Home Center ReStore’s HabiTree to help make sure Habitat homeowner children will have a happy Christmas.

Habitat Family Services staffer Debbie Meeker and volunteer Colleen Audette worked with first grade teacher Debra Barnes on the annual project, and the children produced a tree full of unique ornaments as they learned about sharing and helping others.

With help from a volunteer team from Macy’s, the 2013 HabiTree is ready for its close up and is displayed in the ReStore, where the Habitat homeowner children’s Christmas wish lists are placed.

Customers can choose a gift they’d like to give and bring it to the ReStore from now until Dec. 20. On that day, the 25 Habitat children will enjoy a special party at Habitat, with a visit from Santa, assisted by ReStore Manager David Sneed. Then the gifts will be distributed.

If you’d like to sponsor one of the children, with $25 max gift value, please contact ReStore General Manager Sheradi Monroe at (772) 562-9860 ext. 204 or visit the ReStore and see the 2013 HabiTree, Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
