VERO BEACH — Now’s the time to consider “A Dollar for a Vote” for your favorite dancer in the Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition’s Dancing with Vero’s Stars competition.
Dancing with Vero’s Stars will take place on the evening of Saturday, May 11, at The Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach. This much anticipated event begins with a cocktail party at 6 p.m., a red carpet arrival of all the star dancers at 6:30 p.m., and showtime at 7:30 p.m.
“We are overjoyed by the response to this year’s event. Thanks to the combined effort of excellent dancers/instructors and a widely creative and dedicated committee, we are looking at our best year yet,” said Cheryl Gerstner and Laura Guttridge, co-chairs of the 5th Annual Dancing with Vero’s Stars committee.
While the final tickets to this event are being sold, every vote for your favorite star dancer is a dollar raised for the Healthy Start Coalition.
There will be a Runner up, Second Place, and Grand Prize winner selected, as well as best dancer and best fundraiser awards. All dancers will be judged on 50% money raised for Healthy Start Coalition and 50% based on their dancing skills.
Visit www.DancingwithVeroStars.com through 5 p.m. on Friday, May 10, to cast votes and/or donate. Your advance online votes will be combined with the final tally by the judges.
The Riverside Box Office will be open from 2-6 p.m. on May 11 if tickets are still available.
Ten local “star” dancers coupled with professional dance instructors have donated over 200 hours combined of practice and performance to raise donations for the Healthy Start Coalition.
