IRMC Cath Lab employees earn notable credentials

VERO BEACH — Recently, three IRMC Cath Lab employees, Linda Gerace, Bill Ludwig and Michael Swanson, earned significant credentials within their professions.

Swanson earned the Cardiac-Interventional (CI) credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Gerace and Ludwig earned the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

“This lends tremendous credibility to IRMC’s Cath Lab and Heart Center as now 100 percent of its eligible employees are credentialed to perform and assist in specialized cardiac care,” said Randy Kerperien, B.S., RCIS, manager, Cardiac Catheterization and Echocardiography.

Cardiovascular invasive specialists must have two years experience on the job before they can sit for these credentialing exams.
