Update: Subtropical Storm Beryl back to tropical storm strength

May 27, 7:41 p.m. — Tropical-storm force winds near the northeastern coast of Florida at Tropical Storm Beryl makes landfall.

 


May 27, 8:16 a.m. — Tropical Storm Beryl has been downgraded to a subtropical storm.


May 26, 7:42 a.m. — Last night the National Weather Service in Melbourne informed the Emergency Operations Center of Indian River County that Tropical Storm Beryl is headed for the Treasure Coast.

There is a 20 percent chance of tropical storm force winds of 39 mph along the coast.

Local officials were told “it was extremely unlikely for Beryl to track south of Brevard county.”

They will be monitoring the storm over the holiday weekend.
