VERO BEACH — Registration for the Vero Beach Museum of Art’s Summer Art Camp begins on Monday, April 16, at 9 a.m. at the Museum.
Youngsters to teenagers, 4 to 16 years old, are invited to spend a week or more of their summer vacation at this year’s Summer Art Camp. The art day camp offers a creative, child-centered environment for young artists to explore new ideas, develop skills, and build self-esteem through making and learning about art.
Expert instructors are experienced in encourging the best work from students in a fun, welcoming setting. The Museum offers nine one-week sessions with over 60 classes taught by professional artists/art educators.
Previous art instruction is not required for enrollment, only a desire to learn and have fun. Classes are grouped for 4-5, 6-8, 9-11, and 12-16 year olds. Young people will benefit from the creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills gained through their exposure to art.
Registration forms and class brochures will be available beginning Tuesday, April 3, at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, or from the Museum’s website at www.VeroBeachMuseum.org.
Parents can download camp registration forms and provide payment info that can then be faxed to (772) 231-0938, mailed, or delivered in person to the Museum.
This year’s weekly sessions begin on Monday, June 11, and continue weekly through August 10. Sessions are held Monday through Friday for one week each, with half day class periods scheduled for either mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., or afternoons from 1:30- 4:30 p.m.
An optional supervised lunch break and pre-camp care (8:30- 9:30 a.m.) will be available for students 4-16 years old for an additional charge for each service needed.
Each half-day tuition for morning or afternoon classes is $90 ($80 for Museum members) and each session’s supervised one-hour lunch break or a.m. student supervision is an additional $25 ($20 for Museum members) for each service.
