Gardenfest! grows into Nature’s Finest Marketplace

VERO BEACH — Once a year, for more than 10 years, Vero Beach has been celebrating nature’s gifts at Gardenfest! a garden show bonanza, every first weekend in February at Riverside Park. After 10 successful years, the Garden Club of Indian River County can now state that Gardenfest! is Nature’s Finest Marketplace.

Gardenfest! is Nature’s Finest Marketplace as defined by the over 70 vendors displaying, merchandising and selling a wide variety of plants, planters, pottery, fountains, furniture and lighting, statuary and other garden accessories. Many of the plants for sale include palms, ferns, orchids, natives, herbs, succulents, bamboo and roses. Gardenfest! is the horticulturist’s weekend resource and the garden shopper’s mecca.

Fans of the horticulture arena visit Gardenfest! for the interesting Ask the Expert question and answer sessions facilitated by top- notch authorities in their fields. They’re drawn to the array of horticultural needs and accessories that help create your perfect garden.

Even the not-so-interested come to browse, dine or snack at the outdoor food court in beautiful, oak-canopied Riverside Park. Whatever the reason, every year they come in droves to enjoy the experience of Nature’s Finest Marketplace, Gardenfest!. Perhaps they know that Gardenfest! will educate, facilitate, and fascinate those that attend the weekend event.

Believing that communities make gardens grow and gardens help communities grow, the Garden Club of Indian River County has been involved with many civic projects over the past 82 years. A portion of the weekend proceeds from the Gardenfest! event go to community outreach and educational programs supported by the Garden Club of Indian River County.

The Garden Club of Indian River County’s on-going sponsorship is to enhance, preserve, and beautify the landscape of Indian River County. The Garden Club of Indian River County, Inc. has been a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. since 1933, and is affiliated with the National Garden Clubs, Inc.
