Best Motion Picture Series to benefit Gifford Youth Activity Center begins Jan. 18

VERO BEACH – The Gifford Youth Activity Center, in association with the Majestic 11, 940 14th Lane in Vero Beach, will present a special one-time showing of some of the best classic movies of all time from January through April 2012 to benefit to the organization’s programs and services. All show times are at 4:30 p.m.

The line-up for the 2012 season includes:

Wednesday, Jan. 18 – “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” with Audrey Hepburn

Wednesday, Feb. 15 – “West Side Story” 50th Anniversary

Wednesday, March 14 – “The Bridge on the River Kwai”

Wednesday, April 18 – “Gone With the Wind”

The Gifford Youth Activity Center offers a unique, comprehensive after-school program to students K-12. Daily at GYAC, in classrooms by grade, certified teachers provide students structured daily homework assistance, tutoring, educational enrichment, and encouragement of personal growth and development to students followed, in the late afternoon, by cultural and recreational activities.

GYAC board members, staff, volunteers, and teachers are committed to establishing a partnership among the youth and adults throughout Indian River County that will cultivate self-esteem, teach character, and encourage each individual to achieve his or her ultimate potential.

Tickets are $10 per person or $30 per person for all four movies in the series. All ticket purchases will go toward helping GYAC goals become a child’s reality. When you purchase your ticket(s) you can register for a chance to WIN the themed gift basket that will be raffled at each show.
