Tee Up for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County

VERO BEACH — Want to play golf in beautiful Vero Beach in November while making a difference in the life of a child? Then join us on Monday, Nov. 7, for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County’s Tenth Annual Amateur Golf Tourney.

The event takes place at the Vero Beach Country Club and begins with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The format is two best balls of four (net) and the entry fee is $300 per person. A cocktail reception, silent auction and awards presentation will follow.

Funds raised from the tournament will help support important after-school Club programs in the areas of education, sports & fitness, health & life skills, the arts, character and leadership development, and community service.

Co-chaired by John & Karla Spooner, the event is made possible by major sponsors George E. Warren Corporation and Costal Hyundai of Melbourne, and theme sponsors Publix Super Markets Charities and Sports Authority.

Tee-sign sponsorship opportunities are available for $300, and the Club is accepting silent-auction donations.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County, a United Way and Children’s Services Advisory Committee agency, provides quality programs that develop citizenship, leadership, and character to kids ages 6-18 at three Clubhouse locations in Indian River County: one each in Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere. The top priority of the Boys & Girls Clubs is helping kids succeed in school and in life.
