‘Born Yesterday’ auditions slated

VERO BEACH — Setting the gears in motion for its January production of the comedy “Born Yesterday,” the Vero Beach Theatre Guild will be casting 15 performers. This famous play premiered in movie theatres in 1950 and starred Judy Holiday, Broderick Crawford and William Holden.

Auditions are set for 7 p.m. on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 16, 17 and Monday, Oct. 24 at the theatre at 2020 San Juan Ave.

Main roles require three women, ages 28-65 and six men, ages 35-70. For those who may want to “test the waters,” the show offers six walk-on roles, with few or no lines required. Genie award-winning director is Tony Della Rocca.

Registration is not necessary. Just show up on any of the given dates.
