Intrepid Art Gallery features Golden Seeds exhibit

VERO BEACH — The Intrepid Art Gallery will host an opening reception for the Golden Seeds exhibition by Venezuelan Sculptor Carolina Rojas, 6 p.m. Thursday Sept. 29.

The artist covers a variety of mediums such as installations, photography, and sculptors. The concept of seeds is a reminder of the conservation and preservation of the environment and the vegetation. It has always been an enigma to the artist to understand what is going to happen if we ran out of seeds one day in the world. This exhibition is a reminder for what started as a seed, handled carefully and deliberately, it becomes beautiful resource, and carefully returned to the source.

Rojas started painting at the age of nine with Argentina artist and curator of museum of contemporary Arts in Caracas, Eva Costell. She has worked with renowned American Sculptor Rafael Barrios and Venezuelan artist Elias Toros. Carolina’s sculptures are now in private collections throughout US, Venezuela, Mexico, and Spain.

She has had her work exhibited in Iberoamerica in Caracas 2008, SOFA in Chicago 2010, Arteamerica in Miami 2011, Mia Art Fair Miami 2011, Elite Fine Art Galleries Miami, and LMNT Contemporary Arts Miami. She has also exhibited at Miami Beach Botanical Gardens and given lectures for the chapter of Slow Food USA, and her work is currently being shown in Art Pavilion in Shanghai, September 2011.
