INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Recreation Department is proud to announce that the Special Olympics of Florida State Aquatic Championships are returning to the North County Aquatic Center in Sebastian. This event will take place the weekend of Oct. 1 & 2.
We are in need of volunteers with time, energy and enthusiasm to be a part of this grand event. Volunteering for Special Events can create lifelong friendships and rewards of immeasurable value. Whatever your interests, talents, background and availability, there are opportunities for you. A tentative schedule is listed below.

• Set Up / Take Down

• Award Escorts
Volunteers for this aquatic event include (but not limited to): civic and fraternal groups, licensed health care providers, high school and college students, amateur and professional athletes, sport officials, coaches, teachers, retirees, parents, church groups, and corporate employees.
Please consider putting your skills, talents and time toward one of the most rewarding experiences you’ll ever have.
