TD Charitable Foundation supports Gifford Youth Activity Center

VERO BEACH — TD Bank, through the TD Charitable Foundation, recently donated $10,000 to the Gifford Youth Activity Center in Indian River County as part of the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community.

The Gifford Youth Activity Center founded and opened its doors in 1998 at 4875 43rd Avenue in Vero Beach. The Center currently serves kindergarteners to high school seniors in their after-school program where students are involved in various tutoring, mentoring, and educational classes before finishing their day with a period of structured recreational activities.

Gifford Youth Activity Center also serves the senior community with activities ranging from exercise, sewing, arts and crafts and dance classes to fun and educational field trips and travel, special guest speakers and regular health screenings. GYAC faculty and staff prepare and encourage seniors to stay active and engaged and students to excel in their studies, graduate from high school and pursue post-secondary education.

Angelia Perry, Executive Director of the Gifford Youth Activity Center stated, “We are very happy to have received this donation from TD Charitable Foundation which will be used to support our after school program. TD Bank is a great partner and we look forward to our continued collaboration.”
