Free Teen Writer’s Workshop offered

VERO BEACH — A free Teen Writer’s Workshop will be held on Saturday, August 20 at the Environmental Learning Center from 1 to 4 p.m. The Laura (Riding) Jackson Foundation, Inc. and College Application Consultants will present Tapping into the Wild Mind: How to Make Your Writing Come Alive, with poet and Miami-Dade College professor Michael Hettich.

Dr. Hettich, who recently won the prestigious Swan Scythe Press Chapbook competition, will be leading this exciting poetry workshop for student writers, grades 9-12. Hettich hopes that students will bring a poem of their own to work on at this free three-hour workshop.

The workshop is underwritten by College Application Consultants, Inc. and Charlotte Terry
