Tricky Tray fundraiser to assist families struggling with pediatric cancer

VERO BEACH — Jessie’s Journey of Hope, a charitable foundation formed to assist families battling the struggles of dealing with pediatric cancer, will host its first fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday June 30 at the Marriott Springhill Suites, 5015 Indian River Boulevard in Vero Beach.

A $10 donation includes three free raffle tickets to the Tricky Tray fundraiser, featuring a host of donated items such as gift certificates to local businesses, jewelry, and baskets filled with goodies. The evening will also feature hors d’oeuvres by Orchid Gourmet Catering and live music by Ron McPhee.

The foundation is named in honor of Jessica DiDario who died at age 21, following a five-year battle with pediatric cancer. Wyatt Connell and Jess Pierce, two young patients receiving support from the foundation, will be on hand at the event as its honored guests.
