VERO BEACH – Jon Putzke, artistic director and owner of Theatre-Go-Round, has announced that it will open at a new venue, the Elks Lodge in Vero Beach with “Hot Tropical Nights,” a musical voyage on the high seas, the weekend of July 29 to 31.
Celebrate an exciting new location, a delectable all-inclusive menu and the premiere of a rollicking island-themed show of 21 songs with a tropical beat presented by Theatre-Go-Round at the popular Elks Lodge.
An all-inclusive dinner theatre package of $45 per person includes a show ticket, tax, dinner service gratuities, non-alcoholic beverage and a specially prepared three-course menu including dessert by Executive Chefs Dan and John Vukovich.
“Hot Tropical Nights” performs on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30 with doors opening for cocktails and dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. and on Sunday, July 31 with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the show at 6 p.m.
“Hot Tropical Nights” is performed by cast members Gregory Harris (musical director); Beth McKenzie (choreographer); Shamara Turner and Caitlin Harris. Jeff Michaels and Mike Holladay provide orchestrations. Costumes are by Marg Putzke. Wesley Davis, Jr., David Seeton and Chris Dixon are technicians.
For 19 years, Dan Vukovich was head chef of the “original” Patio restaurant and was head chef at the Pearl restaurant beachside. For 20 years, John Vukovich was a chef at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom Resort in Orlando.
Assisted by dining room director Tim Shestak, the chefs will present a sit down dinner of Hawaiian fruit salad on a bed of crisp lettuce; slow-roasted, honey-glazed pork loin with pineapple, cherries and raisins accompanied by baked sweet potato and Calypso sweet corn; iced tea and coconut & Captain Morgan bread pudding. A la carte soda, beer, wine and liquor service will also be available.
Group rates are available for 18 or more and show-only tickets are $22.50.
