VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Art Club has a new board and officers in place for the 2011-2012 season. Many of the board and officers are continuing their service to the Art Club from past positions including Rita Ziegler, who will remain for her second year as President and Mary Ellen Koser, also for the second year in her position as Vice President. The new Secretary is Judy Mercer and Darrell Remole is the new Treasurer.
Three Board members were also installed including Nick Binghieri, Chris Pierce and Sue Dinenno. Continuing in their roles as board members completing their three year terms are Paul Davis and Paul Williams.
The Vero Beach Art Club is a non-profit organization with the mission to encourage and support both appreciation and creation of fine art with emphasis on painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. They currently have a membership between 450 – 500 and a very active events schedule including the nationally known juried fine art show called “Under the Oaks” which occurs in March at Riverside Park. Its office is located inside the Vero Beach Museum of Art at 3001 Riverside Park Drive.
