Becker Award of Excellence bestowed on Daniel Koh

VERO BEACH — The Becker Award of Excellence, created by Lisa and Bill Becker of Vero Beach, has been awarded to two faculty members at Saint Edward’s School.

The Award’s purpose is to recognize outstanding faculty members at Saint Edward’s School who have at least three years teaching experience at Saint Edward’s and a minimum of five years teaching experience overall.

This year’s awardees: Daniel Koh from the Upper and Middle School divisions, and Margaret Young from the Lower School division, were announced at the School’s closing ceremonies in June.

In bestowing the awards, Lisa and Bill Becker emphasized that these outstanding faculty members are noted for the quality of their teaching, an obvious love for students, enthusiasm for and enjoyment of the teaching profession and each has demonstrated loyalty and pride at being

a part of the Saint Edward’s community. These individuals are also recognized for special and innovative projects both inside and outside the classroom, for taking on extra duties and responsibilities and making special contributions to the Saint Edward’s learning community.

They are a role model for faculty and an example of the high quality of teaching at Saint Edward’s School.
