William C. “Bill” Ostrander, 65, Vero Beach

William C. “Bill” Ostrander, 65, died May 31, 2011, in Portsmouth, N.H.

He was born in Connecticut and lived in North Hampton, N.H., and Vero Beach.

He was a teacher at Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School in Haverhill, Mass., for more than 30 years.

He attended Boston University and Northeastern University, graduated from Salem University in Salem, Mass.

He received a master’s degree in education from the University of Massachusetts.

Survivors include his partner, Edward G. LaRoche, of North Hampton; mother, Mary Ostrander, of Canton, Ohio; and siblings, R. James Ostrander, of Palm Beach, and H. Thomas Ostrander and Barbara Meyer, both of Bonita Springs.

Services were in New Hampshire.
