Frances T. Branan, 85, died May 24, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Atlanta and lived in Vero Beach for 61 years.
Before retirement, she worked for the State Attorney’s Office and the city and county.
She was trained in the art of color-tinting black and white photos with oil paints in Atlanta in 1941.
She worked with two local photographers, Wally Schism and Bob Palmer, in the late 1950s and early ’60s.
She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 40 years and charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Rick Branan, of Clemson, S.C., Mike Branan, of Kissimmee, and Ron, of Vicksburg, Miss.; daughter, Mary-Frances Womack, of Vero Beach; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; and brother, Paul Thomas.
