Patricia Jean Jackson, 67, died May 19, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Arcadia and lived in Vero Beach for more than 50 years, coming from her birthplace.
She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from Rollins College.
She had been a guidance counselor for Indian River County Schools, serving most recently at the Freshman Learning Center in Vero Beach.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Marshall Jackson, of Vero Beach; sons, Brian Southwell, of Orlando and Scott Southwell, of Jacksonville; brothers, Frank Sellers, of North Carolina and John Sellers, of Georgia; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial will be at a later date.
