Edward H. Pluemer, 94, Vero Beach

Edward H. Pluemer, 94, died May 15, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Chicago and lived in Vero Beach for three years, coming from Leesburg.

Before retiring, he worked for 37 years at the 3M Co. in Chicago.

He was an Army Air Forces bombardier during World War II.

He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge in Chicago and Leesburg.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Evelyn C. Pluemer, of Vero Beach; son, Edward Pluemer, of San Pedro, Calif.; daughter, Sandra L. Domek, of Vero Beach; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Military honors will be rendered at 11:30 a.m. May 23 at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth.
