Thomas Murray Funka Sr., 76, died May 7, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio.
He was the retired owner and president of The Zeroll Co., a manufacturer of world famous commercial ice cream scoops.
He purchased the company in 1968 and relocated to Florida in 1990.
He was a member of the Pelican Yacht Club.
He graduated from Libbey High School in 1953.
Survivors include his wife, Maria; son, Tom Jr; daughter, Laurie Van Steen; brother, Clifford A. Funka, Jr.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 22 with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home.
