John “Jack” Herbert Stueber, D.C., 80, Vero Beach

John “Jack” Herbert Stueber, D.C., 80, of Vero Beach, died Sunday, May 9, 2011, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.

Dr. Stueber was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Phillipsburg, N.J., and moved to Vero Beach in 1999 from Honesdale, Pa.

A graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1948, he served in the U.S. Navy on the destroyer USS Glennon from 1948-1952.

Dr. Stueber graduated from Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 1965 and established an office in Honesdale from 1966-1981.

He was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach and the Honesdale Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Joan Stueber, of Vero Beach; sisters Lorraine Stueber and Norma Goodhard, both of Easton, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Living Lord Lutheran Church, 2725 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32966.

A memorial service celebrating his life will take place 12 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Living Lord Lutheran Church or St. John’s Lutheran Church, 278 Chambers Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865
