Charles Dugan Hess, 90, died April 15, 2011, at his home.
He was born in Coldwater, Ohio, and lived in Vero Beach for more than 30 years, coming from Columbus, Ohio. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Louann Winters Hess, of Vero Beach; daughter, the Rev. Catherine Hess Williams, of Pembroke Pines; sons, Charles D. Hess Jr., of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Robert A. Hess, of Dublin, Ohio, and Andrew J. Hess, of Ringoes, N.J.; and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 8335 N. Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. May 14 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, followed by military honors.
Burial will be later.
