Woof Gang Bakery goes to the (DFL) Dogs

Woof Gang Bakery has selected Dogs for Life (DFL) as the first non-profit organization to receive funding from their first Yappy Hour in their Vero Beach Store on Thursday, May 19 from 6 to 8 pm.  Woof Gang Bakery is located at 2048 Treasure Coast Plaza, just west of TooJays.

Take advantage of a 15% store discount on everything in the store, while socializing with your dog park friends.  And yes, dogs are invited too.

There will be “lite bites” and drinks, as well as treats for your 4-legged family member.  They will also be raffling off prizes including a membership to the DFL dog park for one year, valued at $250, and a free groom by dog groomer, Danica David, valued at up to $75.

Woof Gang Bakery Vero Beach will donate 15% of sales at the event to Dogs For Life, a wonderful non-profit organization that is devoted to improving the quality of life for people and dogs through training assistance dogs, pet assisted therapy dogs and owning and operating an off-leash dog park.

VERO BEACH — While chilly temperatures caused a drop in beach attendance last month, lifeguards are happy to report that there were no water rescues that occurred in January. Fertilizer restrictions to go into effect next month

A reminder from the Indian River Neighborhood Association to residents of Indian River County, City of Vero Beach, Sebastian and Orchid. We are coming into our rainy season when more nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous are likely to be washed from our lawns, driveways and roads into the storm water system and, ultimately, into our local waterways such as the Indian River Lagoon. ‘No swimming’ advisory lifted for beaches, officials say

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said. The advisory - which was in place for nearly a week - was issued Jan. 31 for South Beach, Humiston Beach and Sexton Plaza Beach after high levels of fecal-related bacteria were reported at the locations.
