Vero High School Orchestras to perform the Magical Music of Disney

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras will perform The Magical Music of Disney on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 pm in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

The concert will include Tragic Overture by Brahms, Hungarian Rhapsody by Liszt, St. Paul Suite by Holst and other popular tunes from classic Disney films.

The concert will feature more than 200 award-winning Indian River County students, including the Vero Beach High School Symphony Orchestra, the Gifford Middle School Orchestras and the VBHS Philharmonic and Concert Orchestras.

They all continue to work very hard to represent the past, present, and future of our cultural landscape.  Students study and practice masterpieces of the past four hundred years of orchestral music, and bring them alive in the present through performance in the beautiful Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.

The future of orchestral music is alive and well, as several of these Vero Beach students will go on to study and perform with collegiate and conservatory orchestras.  Many of them aspire to perform professionally.   Proceeds will benefit the musical education of Indian River County students.

Tickets are $12 for the lower level and $10 for the upper level.  All seating is reserved.
