Historical Society membership meeting and Hallstrom tour

VERO BEACH — The Indian River County Historical Society (IRCHS) annual membership meeting will be held on Sunday, May 15 at the Hallstrom House in Vero Beach. The House will be open for visitors from 1 to 2 pm, with the annual meeting beginning at 2 pm.  Refreshments will follow the meeting.  

Among the items on the agenda are a report on Historical Society activities for the past twelve months, a financial report, and election of new board members.  Also on the agenda is approval of proposed changes to the bylaw which will be posted on the IRCHS website after May 1 for members to review (www.indianriverhistorical.org).

Board president Hildie Tripson plans to formally announce the start of a new capital campaign to begin full restoration of the Hallstrom Homestead grounds and construction of an outdoor pavilion and restrooms.

All Historical Society members are encouraged to attend.  Members of the public are also welcome.

The Hallstrom House is located at 1723 S. Dixie Highway in Vero Beach, one mile south of Oslo Road.
